Wow! 2019 sure whizzed by, didn’t it? Every year seems to go by faster as we get older. Don’t you think so?

At the end of every year, I like to reflect on the positive things that took place. These are a few great things that happened at Price Style and Design:

1. Working with New Artists

Art inspires me and my work. I’m so moved by the artists that I’ve met, particularly through Instagram. This year we commissioned several artists for custom pieces for our projects. One of the artists that we worked with Stephanie Henderson (her work is pictured above). She painted this piece using specific colors we specified. So fun! (I’ll be sharing this project soon! I promise!).

2. The One Room Challenge

In October, I participated in the One Room Challenge, an online event where designers transform a room in 6 weeks! I did my living room and created a colorful space inspired by the art that I’ve collected over the years! If you missed it, click here!

3. Working with Repeat Clients

One of the things that I love about my job, is the relationships that I form with my clients and their families. I am so grateful for the continued support of my clients who contact me, year after year, to continue to work on their homes, room by room. Thank you!

Wishing you all a wonderful year end and bright beginnings in 2020!

Cheers!!

Interior Design: Before & After Bathroom Remodel

My clients have two young daughters and needed this bathroom to more efficient with storage and space. They wanted a timeless design in their 100 year old home that would transition with the girls as they grow from playing in the bathtub as toddlers, to maximizing space needed for makeup, hairdryers, etc as they become teenagers.

Art is a big focus for me and especially, original art. My home is filled with art that I’ve collected over the years and I’m constantly rotating pieces around my house! Art makes a room!

Interior Design: Before and After Dining Room

There is nothing like spending time in a happy and bright space that brings joy. This family loves to use their dining room for weekly ‘family game nights’ and theme parties as well as hosting their friends for dinner. I’m excited to share the details of the transformation!

Interior Design: A Pretty Place for Reading

In this project, in Orinda, Ca., I was tasked with coming up with a design solution for a landing space at the top of a stairwell. It was a space that was too small for a loveseat and chairs, and too big and open to use as a home office.
