Art // Chair // Sculpture // Pendant // Console Chest // Pink Pillow // Ikat Pillow

I'm on a roll!  I've had a few regular blog posts lately! Don't get excited, because as you know, my blogging ebbs and flows!

I was so inspired when I came across this collage piece by Karen Blair -- I love how the collage fragments frame the face, and of course, I love the colors!

Art can define your space and is often my jumping off point when beginning an interior design project for a client.  So without further ado .... I hope this inspires you!

1. "Collage, Faces II" by Karen Blair

Isn't it a show stopper?  This would look great as a wow factor in an entry or in a chic home office.  I would finish it with a frame that brought out one of the colors in the piece.

2. Grayson Chair

From Crate & Barrel, this is such a sweet chair with a clean and contemporary profile!  This would look great as an accent chair in a living room or even a bedroom.

3. Felix Statue in Bronze

I love quirky sculptures that are minimalist in style.  The Felix Sculpture is by Bungalow 5 and can be purchased on Houzz. I think this would be fun on top of some books in a bookcase or used as an accent piece on a desk.

4. Salon Media Console

It's all in the details.  I love this piece by Bernhardt -- it features three inset antique silver leaf panels.  Look a bit closer:

Even though it's a media console, it would also make a great dining room buffet!  I think it's so pretty!  It's available at Horchow.

5. Otis Pendant

Loving this as a kitchen pendant or even hung closer to the ceiling in a powder room.  Made by Regina Andrew, the Otis Pendant is available at Overstock.

6. Decorative Pillows

I know....more pink!  What can I say?  It's my favorite color!  These pillows are from Arianna Belle - a great online resource for designer pillows - and if pink is not your thing, there are many more gorgeous, designer fabrics available!  And, the quality is amazing!

Thanks for stopping by!

Interior Design: Before & After Bathroom Remodel

My clients have two young daughters and needed this bathroom to more efficient with storage and space. They wanted a timeless design in their 100 year old home that would transition with the girls as they grow from playing in the bathtub as toddlers, to maximizing space needed for makeup, hairdryers, etc as they become teenagers.

Interior Design: A Pretty Place for Reading

In this project, in Orinda, Ca., I was tasked with coming up with a design solution for a landing space at the top of a stairwell. It was a space that was too small for a loveseat and chairs, and too big and open to use as a home office.
