I am so motivated by color.  It springs life into the interior design of your home.  Every color that we admire has a meaning and a purpose in our lives.

Each year, Pantone (a provider of professional color language standards and digital solutions) selects a 'Color of the Year'.  This year it's Ultra Violet.

Ultra Violet communicates originality, ingenuity, and visionary thinking that points us towards the future.

This past year, when I launched my interior design studio in Lafayette, CA., I was drawn to the color violet as my inspiration.  Little did I know that the underlying meaning was pointing me towards a bright future!

While many of you may not be drawn to Ultra Violet in large doses in your space, you can add this color to your home in small ways that will inspire ingenuity and visionary thinking!

Add Ultra Violet to your Space with Art:

Sage by Bridgette Thornton // Talkhouse by George Singer // A Pear by Sarah Trundle //Colorful Nude by Alysanne McGaffey // Spring on #25 by Karen Smidth

Add Ultra Violet to your Space with Furniture & Accents:

I invite you to consider what colors you are drawn to over and over.  And then incorporate them into your home.  Whether it's Ultra Violet or any other color that you love -- make your space a reflection of you.

Interior Design: Before & After Bathroom Remodel

My clients have two young daughters and needed this bathroom to more efficient with storage and space. They wanted a timeless design in their 100 year old home that would transition with the girls as they grow from playing in the bathtub as toddlers, to maximizing space needed for makeup, hairdryers, etc as they become teenagers.

Interior Design: A Pretty Place for Reading

In this project, in Orinda, Ca., I was tasked with coming up with a design solution for a landing space at the top of a stairwell. It was a space that was too small for a loveseat and chairs, and too big and open to use as a home office.
