Happy New Year!

I'm super excited to share with you some of the top trends in interior design in 2018 -- and number 1 on the list is near and dear to my heart!

Interior Design Trend #1:  Vibrant Art and Gallery Walls

Yes!  My love of including vibrant art in interior spaces is validated by the acknowledgement of this trend!  Fill your home with art that you love -- scour local galleries and online vendors and find colors and images that make you happy!

If curating art is not your thing, you can hire me to help you (Yay!), or you can use these sources to create a gallery wall that speaks to you:

Framebridge.com is one of my top go-to's when it comes to helping my clients frame their own photographs and art.  Framebridge has an awesome gallery wall service for $99 if you need help planning your space.

Minted.com has a beautiful selection of limited edition prints that are fun to peruse.  Spend an afternoon scrolling through their art online and you will most definitely find something that inspires you.  Minted.com also offers personal art styling services for $79.

Interior Design Trend #2: Spa-like Bathrooms

There is no better space to unwind (other than an actual spa!) than your own bathroom.  Why not create a space that soothes your hard working soul?  Spa-like bathrooms are all the rage.  From free standing soaking tubs, steam showers, and gorgeous finishes -- your bathroom can be a respite from the stress in your life!

If you are not ready to do a full remodel of your bathroom, here a few ideas that can add a little 'spa' feeling to your space.

Interior Design Trend #3:  Bar Carts

Yes, bar carts have been around for a while, but the new trend is to style them with not only pretty beverage glasses, but with floral arrangements, vibrant trays and decorative objects!

I love sourcing bar carts for my clients from One Kings Lane.  Here are a few beauties:

I'll be doing a blog post soon with bar cart styling ideas.  Stay tuned!

Wishing you all a happy and healthy 2018!  Make your home a place that you love!

Interior Design: Before & After Bathroom Remodel
Interior Design: Before & After Bathroom Remodel

My clients have two young daughters and needed this bathroom to more efficient with storage and space. They wanted a timeless design in their 100 year old home that would transition with the girls as they grow from playing in the bathtub as toddlers, to maximizing space needed for makeup, hairdryers, etc as they become teenagers.

Interior Design: A Pretty Place for Reading

In this project, in Orinda, Ca., I was tasked with coming up with a design solution for a landing space at the top of a stairwell. It was a space that was too small for a loveseat and chairs, and too big and open to use as a home office.
