Table lamps can be little works of art in your decor -- whether they are glass, ceramic, stone, or metal -- look for lamps that make a visual statement in your home design.

A lamp is a perfect way to elevate your design and adds what I call a design jewel to any room design!

I've rounded up some beautiful table lamps for inspiration for your interior space:

Lucite or Glass (+ Brass)

I love how glass (or lucite) can look so fresh and modern in varying design schemes. Check out how I used the first lamp pictured above in this interior design project.

Brass or Gold

Brass is so timeless to me, and I find it works well in transitional and modern design.  See how I used a brass lamp in this room.

Stone

Stone lamps are so in right now!  My favorite in this grouping is the first one -- I've used it a few times with different clients, I love the statement it makes.  See it in action here.

Task Lamps (that double as Table Lamps!)

Do you recognize the first task lamp from Pottery Barn that I used in the first photo on today's blog?  It's such a cool lamp -- a little oversized and very dramatic!

Ceramic

You can't go wrong with a neutral ceramic lamp -- always in style and easy to integrate in a monochromatic or a colorful design scheme.

I hope I've inspired you to add some beautiful lighting to your home!

Interior Design: Before & After Bathroom Remodel

My clients have two young daughters and needed this bathroom to more efficient with storage and space. They wanted a timeless design in their 100 year old home that would transition with the girls as they grow from playing in the bathtub as toddlers, to maximizing space needed for makeup, hairdryers, etc as they become teenagers.

Interior Design: A Pretty Place for Reading

In this project, in Orinda, Ca., I was tasked with coming up with a design solution for a landing space at the top of a stairwell. It was a space that was too small for a loveseat and chairs, and too big and open to use as a home office.
