My Top 5 Entry Consoles

Hi there!

Your front entry is the first glimpse of what your guests, friends, and family see when walking into your home.... so why not make it amazing?

An entry console can be a little jewel in interior design.  They serve as an anchor for a beautiful piece of art on your wall -- a showcase area for you to create an artful vignette of objects you love, as well as a place to put a lamp or two.

I have several entry consoles that I use a lot in my interior design projects these are my Top 5!

1.  Melange Landon Hall Console Table

I've used this console in two projects and it is absolutely stunning in person.  It features an antiqued gold metal base and a wood top with a slightly distressed finish.  It works in homes that are traditional and transitional in their design.

2.  Matisette Cabinet

This console/chest is great because it not only can serve as an entry piece and a cabinet, it also has a vented back panel so that it can be used as a TV console.  The carved detail does not disappoint and the finish is amazing.  I've used this in traditional designed settings.

3.  Fallon Console Table

The Fallon Console is great if you have an area that does not allow for a deep piece of furniture. It's only 12" wide, but it's a showstopper!  I've used it in both transitional and traditional spaces -- and it looks great!

4.  Travertine Console Table

What first struck me about this console was the artful and curved metal base -- but it also has a lovely travertine stone top.  Again, super beautiful in person.  It looks great in more contemporary spaces.

5.  Shanghai Credenza

One look at the lacquered grass cloth cabinet fronts and vintage inspired hardware -- and I was all in.  The Shanghai Credenza is not only elegant -- but incredibly unique.  I have one in my design studio (it stores my fabric books!) and it makes me so happy to look at it!  It would be great in a transitionally inspired designed home -- I feel like it has a very 'California Casual' vibe to it.

If you have an entry (or a space in your home) that needs a designer refresh -- please contact me! I am based in Lafayette, CA, but serve San Francisco and the East Bay.  I also do E-Design!

Thanks for stopping by!

Interior Design: Before & After Bathroom Remodel

My clients have two young daughters and needed this bathroom to more efficient with storage and space. They wanted a timeless design in their 100 year old home that would transition with the girls as they grow from playing in the bathtub as toddlers, to maximizing space needed for makeup, hairdryers, etc as they become teenagers.

Interior Design: A Pretty Place for Reading

In this project, in Orinda, Ca., I was tasked with coming up with a design solution for a landing space at the top of a stairwell. It was a space that was too small for a loveseat and chairs, and too big and open to use as a home office.
