Wow! This year went by so fast! Doesn't it seem like time goes faster each year?

I hope that you had a wonderful year filled with joy, friends and family and that you achieved the goals that you set out for yourself at the beginning of this year.

This was an exciting year for my interior design firm and I'm reluctant to say goodbye to 2017! The past 12 months were filled with great clients, gorgeous installs and more projects in the books as we usher in 2018! I'm looking forward to sharing photos and stories of many of the projects that were completed this year.

January was an exciting month because I moved my firm into a commercial space (hooray for not working from home anymore!) I opened my interior design studio in Lafayette, CA. This is me....at work! :)

In April, we had an opening reception featuring the beautiful art by Bridgette Thornton. The crowd was so large that we spilled out on the deck in front of the studio!

In June, Dering Hall approached me about being a Featured Design Professional on their site. I'm very grateful to be included in this list of such talented designers!

In August, Amy Peterson joined our team as Project Manager and she is fabulous! She's working diligently behind the scenes managing all of our projects!

Every day is different and I catalog a lot of my interior design journey on Instagram. In December - my following hit 4500! So fun to be engaging and sharing design inspiration with my followers!

Interior Design: Before & After Bathroom Remodel

My clients have two young daughters and needed this bathroom to more efficient with storage and space. They wanted a timeless design in their 100 year old home that would transition with the girls as they grow from playing in the bathtub as toddlers, to maximizing space needed for makeup, hairdryers, etc as they become teenagers.

Interior Design: A Pretty Place for Reading

In this project, in Orinda, Ca., I was tasked with coming up with a design solution for a landing space at the top of a stairwell. It was a space that was too small for a loveseat and chairs, and too big and open to use as a home office.
