My friend Christy invites me to her annual Garden Club/Guest Speaker Luncheon every year. Seriously, it's one of my favorite days of the year!
Each year I give her a little somethin', somethin' for hosting me, and this year I decided to make a little terrarium.
I really wanted to give her something meaningful -- so I decided that 'plants' (ha, ha, perfect for a 'garden club' meeting) along with 'an elephant' would do the trick.
For those of you who have been reading my blog for a while, you know that elephants have been very symbolic for me recently. They are a sign of strength-- and I've been focusing and noticing them during therecent death of my father and the recent hospicing of my mother.
Christy is a lifelong friend and has been a great source of strength for me during this difficult time. Here's what I made for her:
It started with a little trip to Home Goods for a vessel and some animals!
I just knew there had to be an elephant in there somewhere!
