DIY - Pinterest Challenge -Painting a frame on a wall

So, one of my daily reads is the blog, Centsational Girl -- and last week she did a shout out to diy'ers in the universe to participate in a Summer Pinterest Challenge!

The deal is you had one week to do a 'diy' that you've spotted on Pinterest!

I love the idea of painting a frame on a wall like this one from BHG:

My son's room was too, too dark.
Grey walls, grey headboard, grey bedding.
Here's a before pic:

I painted the walls white.
Redid the headboard.
Made a long lumbar pillow with yellow trim.
And, painted a grey frame on the wall to showcase the porthole mirrors and mini antlers!
(I used a piece of foam core poster board as a template and then filled in the lines!)

(the image in the mirror is fuzzified by me, cuz you could see me in it!  Eegads!)

Now, I just hope my son keeps his room clean!
